WellDog’s patented technology utilizes a laser and sophisticated optics to analyze
fluids. A sample is illuminated with a laser beam, and the scattered light
is collected and analyzed to identify the chemical bonds using
Raman spectroscopy.
Chemicals in the tested fluids or formations produce Raman "signatures", which allow
very specific identification. In addition, the Raman signal intensity is directly
proportional to the concentration of the measured chemical.
