$600MM+ in gas found
1,000,000,000+ gallons of water production avoided
Want to get more gas and less water?
When the plans are set and the budgets funded, it's up to you to turn the goals into accomplishments. We can help, from assisting you in developing a drilling program to guiding your drilling in response to reservoir conditions to providing accurate, complete data for your production models. To see examples of how we've helped others, please refer to our case studies here.
Know where to drill - and where to avoid
The first step in avoiding production delays and failures is to drill where the gas is. We've helped dozens of operators choose the right areas for their next drilling programs, and avoid spending time and money working on areas that have no potential. Don't drill and hope. Test and know. We have a variety of testing programs available for every budget and for every stage of development.
Increase your multizone production success by completing just the producible seams
Nothing makes CBM more complex than having to select from several completion targets. Rest assured that some of the seams will contribute nothing but water to the wellbore, adding to your costs and delaying gas production from the seams that are producible. We have worked extensively with many operators to distinguish gas pay zones from heavy water contributors. Our proven perf-plug-perf method allows serial testing of many seams in an area from the same wellbore.
Make your production models more accurate by using more data
Stop extrapolating from a small number of questionable data points. With our low cost, fast and accurate technical services you can forget the assumptions and dummy data and use real, ground-truth data in your models. The only effect will be to make your production models - and your understanding of the reservoir - more accurate.
In-fill where you need it, and not where you don't
Initial field spacing has been set by a combination of early, scattered reservoir tests and basin politics. When your field is mature and you run the mass balance calculations, do you find that you've produced more gas than possible? Less? The only way to evaluate definitively the effectiveness of your well spacing is to test the in-fill points. Let us help you accomplish this as cheaply and quickly as possible, and avoid stranding gas in your developed field.
Predict step-out success before risking a pilot project
Whether you're buying or selling, using one core per township to establish a value of a property leaves everyone feeling uncertain. Reduce the transaction risk, set a fair price and close the deal. We regularly test gas content and producibility for both leaseholders and their acquirers. In some cases, our costs can be bundled into the transaction in order to backload the testing costs.
Use re-entry testing to reduce exploration costs
One of the least expensive ways to quickly evaluate a target reservoir is to re-enter an existing wellbore in the new formation. Core and cuttings desorption can't help here. But WellDog's technical services have been proven accurate and fast in multiple re-entry situations.
