ABOUT THIS SPE ATW
This Applied Technology Workshop (ATW) will provide excellent networking opportunities for sharing of the latest technologies and its deployment, best practices and fit-for-purpose techniques focused upon exploring, appraising and developing coalbed methane prospects. Among the topics and issues to be discussed are:
- Recent technology innovations in coalbed methane and identification of future needs.
- Industry best practices from a variety of projects, geological settings and countries.
- Novel applications through presentations of case studies and analogs.
- Exchange of ideas with fellow practitioners through syndicate sessions.
- Problems, solutions and applications that add value to companies and jobs.
The Workshop aims to assist the region’s coalbed methane community in developing strategies and methodologies within their daily workflows which can reduce time and costs, yet still deliver fit for purpose work programs. This Workshop is designed for asset managers, exploration managers, geologists, reservoir engineers, production technologists, drilling and completion engineers and key stake holders. The Workshop will be primarily interactive, exploring the full lifecycle of a coalbed methane project with key focus on the recent technological advancements in the field of coalbed methane.
