Brisbane Bandits & WellDog announce Naming Rights Partnership

WellDog announced today that it is now the exclusive  Naming Rights Partner of Brisbane Bandits Professional Baseball, a key member of the Australian Baseball League (ABL). WellDog and the Bandits have entered into a five-year partnership which will see integration of the WellDog brand across all levels of the Bandits franchise, as well as pull through connections between the Bandits and WellDog’s home country of the United States and home state of Wyoming.

“The Bandits are thrilled to announce a long-term relationship with our friends at WellDog,” said Mark Ready, Bandits CEO. “The Bandits are entering the fifth season of the ABL as a revived franchise committed to Queensland as the geocentric capital of baseball in Australia. With the support of WellDog, we intend to increase the Bandits public and corporate profile and make our vision of a profitable and championship-contending team a reality.”

“WellDog is enthusiastic about our inaugural partnership with the Australian Baseball League and the Bandits in particular,” said Dr. John Pope, WellDog CEO. “We are impressed with the management and vision at the Bandits and look forward to supporting them as they dominate the ABL.”

WellDog is a trailblazing business providing key technical services to the oil & gas, mining and alternative energy sectors since 1999. With headquarters in both Laramie, Wyoming and Brisbane, a long-term partnership with the Australian Baseball League will promote WellDog’s dynamic brand in the Queensland market while also providing global exposure through the Australian Baseball League’s international reach.

“In 2010, we were a US company expanding into the Asia Pacific market by coming to Brisbane,” stated James Walker, WellDog chief operating officer. “Since that time, WellDog has evolved into a company that has joint Australian and US ownership, staff and customers, and is now also exporting technology and expertise developed in Australia to the US and other countries.”

The activation of WellDog and Brisbane Bandits cooperation will consist of saturation and integration of the WellDog name throughout the Bandits operation. The Bandits will promote a shared Western theme which has clear links to Wyoming’s heritage and culture and develop initiatives to foster links to the Bandits’ Sister State of Wyoming. Engagement with WellDog’s regional Roma base will lead to opportunities for a highly-publicised exhibition game hosted in Roma during later partnership stages. Lastly, WellDog and the Bandits are strong proponents for inventive marketing programs including a joint-venture with RSPCA in Spring 2014 to adopt the Bandits newest mascot, “WellDog.”

The Brisbane Bandits kick off the 2014/15 ABL Season on Thursday, 30th October at 6:30 pm against the Adelaide Bite. With exciting new facility upgrades at Holloway Field in Newmarket to unveil during Opening Night festivities, the Brisbane Bandits presented by WellDog will start their 2014/15 Claxton Shield campaign on a high-note and hope to see Queensland sports fans out in support of the ABL’s most promising team.
