Decorated high growth entrepreneur joins WellDog management team
May 4, 2010 (Laramie, Wyoming USA) – WellDog announced today that Silicon Valley serial entrepreneur Mike Thomas has joined WellDog’s management team as Chief Operating Officer, with joint duties as interim Chief Financial Officer.
“Mike’s career has been built on starting, growing and harvesting high growth technology ventures,” said John M. Pope, Ph.D., president & CEO of WellDog. “He has a history of taking small technology companies and making them large in a variety of business sectors, and his practical operational and sales fulfillment expertise is unparalleled.”
Thomas recently founded, grew and sold Spear Technologies, a global Transportation Maintenance Management Software Products company that he built to 119 employees in just 3 years. Prior, he grew Tenera, a publicly listed Energy Industry Consulting and Engineering Company, to 240 employees in 3 years. Earlier, he grew and managed Teknekron, a Private High Technology Venture Capital Company consisting of 6 companies, 400 employees doing $40 million in revenue to 13 companies, 1000 employees doing over $130 million in revenue in 4 years. Prior to this adventure, he co-founded Teknekron Financial Systems, a Transaction Processing Systems Engineering Company growing it from 8 people and $1 million in revenue to 80 people and 34 million in revenue in 3 years, sold the company for $112 million to TRW.
