Experienced coal mining services executive joins WellDog team

WellDog has appointed its first manager dedicated to the coal mine industry. Graeme Corbett joins the organisation with almost 20 years’ experience working in Asia Pacific mining services and safety.

WellDog is dedicated to addressing mine safety, reducing environmental impacts and cutting exploration costs by adapting its technical services to address critical industry needs. CEO John M. Pope, Ph.D., said Corbett’s appointment was an important step in helping mining industries learn about and adopt WellDog’s innovative products and services.

“Graeme’s experience and perspective will help WellDog continue to transition its cost-effective, high volume products and services into the coal mining industry,” Pope said.  “Graeme’s entrepreneurial approach to business fits our culture well and we’re pleased that he has joined our team.”

Corbett comes from Mine Radio Systems where he was director and general manager for Australasia, and the Australian Coal Industry Research Laboratory where he provided National Association of Testing Authorities (NATA) certifications for gas monitoring equipment and systems in underground coalmines.

Corbett said although WellDog had only been servicing coal mine operators for two years, its technology was already making a significant impact to the industry and he was excited to build its reputation further.

“I know this industry and I know what WellDog’s developments will mean to the safety and profitability of the coal mining industry,” Corbett said. “I am confident that WellDog’s reputation will continue to grow as more and more mining companies implement its technologies.”
