WellDog Doubles Jobs at its Wyoming Technology Center

WellDog Laramie Office2 November, 2015 (Laramie, WY) – This past week, WellDog opened 10 additional jobs at its Laramie office. This round of new hiring will bring WellDog’s total Wyoming-based employment to 33, up from 17 at the end of 2014.

“There are two drivers for our staffing additions in Laramie. First, our overall business growth is continuing to be strong in both the U.S. and Australia despite industry conditions. Additionally, moving into the Laramie Technology Building has provided the size and type of facility necessary to not only build our Reservoir Technology Center in Laramie, but also to base our growing US field service operations in Laramie,” said WellDog CEO John Pope, Ph.D.  WellDog’s signature technologies improve oil and gas well efficiency and sustainability, both of which are increasingly important in the energy industry downturn.

Of the 10 open positions, six require a technical degree with a preference towards M.S. and Ph.D. level candidates in fields such as electrical and chemical engineering, chemistry and spectroscopy.  The other four are technician level positions to drive innovation in the new Reservoir Technology Center.

Earlier this year, WellDog moved into the purpose-built Laramie Technology Center in Laramie that houses the company’s global headquarters as well as the majority of its technical research and development team.  Included in the facility are specially designed labs for WellDog’s technologies, a shop and staging area to support North American field operations, and key office space.

In addition to the Laramie Technology Center, WellDog has commercial offices in Denver, CO and Brisbane, Australia.  They also have a large operations center and Artificial Lift Technology Center in Toowoomba, Australia.
