WellDog launches new environmental monitoring division
WellDog announced today that it has established a new environmental monitoring division dedicated to in situ monitoring of water level and water quality in aquifers around energy developments such as coal seam gas and mining.
“We continue to receive a growing number of requests for our fit-for-purpose AquaTracker monitoring systems,” said John M. Pope, Ph.D., president and CEO of WellDog. “By establishing this new division we are now able to allocate appropriate management focus, increase technical staff levels, and act responsively to those requests. We are also able to work with our clients to adapt our systems to the many new challenges in aquifer monitoring that are appearing.”
WellDog’s AquatrackerTM sensor systems detect small movements of water between different geological zones, including coal seams and water aquifers, allowing customers to carefully and accurately monitor water displacement in real time during energy resource development activities. The company currently installs such sensor systems in a variety of architectures customized to subsurface structure and aquifer monitoring needs.
