World Coal Magazine Features WellDog’s GasMapper Technical Service

Laramie, Wyoming (11 September 2013) — WellDog announced today that World Coal magazine is featuring the company’s GasMapper technical service in the edition scheduled to hit newsstands this week. World Coal is the leading industry magazine that is read monthly by 18,592 coal mining professionals around the world.  This month’s edition is focused on underground mining services.

WellDog’s GasMapper service provides an economical and fast way to measure simultaneously coal gas type, coal gas content, and coal gas permeability, parameters that coal mine operators use to plan coal gas pre-drainage in order to operate safely and to reduce greenhouse gas emissions.

“After years of research and eighteen months of field trials, we launched the GasMapper service in Australia last October,” said John M. Pope, president and CEO of WellDog.  “Despite the continued down market in the region, we have been pleased to see the high level of interest and adoption that has occurred.  This article is in important step toward bringing the service to other countries.”

Pope and WellDog Chief Technology Officer Quentin Morgan are co-authors of the four page article, entitled “Who Let the Gas Out?”
